Camp Exclamation Point, Inc. provides a one-week residential summer camp experience for rural Vermont children whose families have limited resources, where meaningful choices create a community of kindness. The only cost to our campers' families is the $25 registration fee, which is often subsidized in cases of financial hardship. Otherwise, the week at camp is completely free for our campers.
Like most non-profits trying to make a difference in kids' lives, Camp! is always looking for help - with fundraising, planning, organization, events, and with the actual week at camp. It is a lot of work to put on one week of Camp! but we feel it is well worth it. Both campers and staff look forward to that week at the end of August when they come back together in the camp community. For many of our campers that week at CAMP! is the high point of their year. You can find more information about our camp program activities on the Our Program pages. Additionally, Vermont Life Magazine produced an article on CAMP! CAMP! is funded each year by generous grants and donations from foundations and individuals. We also participate in the Vermont Summer Food Service Program which subsidizes meals for qualified children. The CAMP! budget is just over $35,000 each year. That budget would be twice as much without the many non-monetary gifts of time, service and products from generous supporters of this program.
Local businesses have generously donated food, clothes, bedding, art supplies, medical supplies, printing, copies, photography and more. The CAMP! staff remains one of the finest and most generous groups of individuals. More than 80% of staff connected with CAMP! volunteer their time and energy in order to ensure our program can continue.
There are numerous ways you can help support this important work we do at camp.
- If you are interested in volunteering as camp staff, go to the Volunteers page for more information, open positions listings, and a volunteer application.
- You can join us at our annual fundraiser, the CAMP! Kick It! Tournament. This is our largest fundraising event and we're always happy to welcome new teams! The tournament runs each summer in early July. Information is posted each spring on the website for groups wanting to join us. Nothing is quite like a game of Kickball on a summer day!
- We are always looking for organizations to donate food, program supplies, or services for use the week of camp. Past supporters have included: Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, Cabot Creamery, Healthy Living, On The Rise Bakery, and the CLiF Foundation. If you have a service, product or goods you or your company are willing to donate to help CAMP! please contact the Managing Director at campexcl@gmail.com, or by phone at (802) 899-4456.
- You can also donate directly through our website using Google donations. The Google donation button below is located on each of our webpages. Donating is easy. Your online donation supports over 100 Vermont children in need of a positive summer camp experience they would otherwise be unable to have. Consider donating today.
- Another way to support CAMP! is through purchases of Camp Exclamation Point gear. Cafe Press stocks plenty of options for decals, t-shirts, mugs and other CAMP! gear. See the link and photos below!
