We pride ourselves on our competent and caring staff who offer a multitude of programs and activities to our campers, while modeling kindness and cooperation. A broad range of experience, age and talent is represented on our staff. Artists, teachers, students, lawyers, legislators, carpenters, technicians, managers, parents and more bring their interests and love to share with campers. Each summer we look for counselors, waterfront staff (certified lifeguards are especially in need), health center staff, and kitchen staff.
CAMP! is a non-profit organization that operates solely on funds generated through grants and donations from individuals or community organizations. As a result, camp staff positions are volunteer-based. Staff receive room, board, and a camp T-shirt for the time they are with us. Beyond that, our rewards come from knowing we have provided a week of summer camp to children whose families would otherwise be unable to afford to send them.
For our volunteers, camp will begin with staff training on Friday, August 17th at 5pm. Campers arrive on Sunday the 19th. We will depart after clean-up on Saturday, August 25th, around 2pm. Volunteers are asked to be present for this entire period of time.
To apply, please download and complete the staff application, and mail it to the address noted. When we receive your application we will be in touch with you by phone or e-mail to arrange a time to talk. At that time, we will go over more information about our program, the various positions we are looking to fill on staff, and how your skills and experience may fit into our camp family. We will also go over any other questions you, or we, may have.
If you have questions about the paperwork, or CAMP! in general, feel free to contact John O’Farrell by e-mail at campexcl@gmail.com, or by phone at (802) 234-0016.
We’ll look forward to speaking with you soon!
