Camp Exclamation Point, Inc. is a non-profit and charitable organization in Vermont that provides a week of free residential summer camp each year to over 100 children with otherwise limited opportunities for such experiences. In addition, CAMP! offers leadership training and supervised work experience in a supportive community environment for teen-aged youth who are CAMP! graduates.
CAMP!, Inc. was founded in 1991 by some members of the staff of the discontinued Vermont Migrant Education Program Summer Camp. They wanted to provide continuity for the children with whom they had been working and to save a program, which they thought made an important difference in their lives. Camp! continues to be an organization directed and supported by the people who form its staff.
The heart of Camp Exclamation Point is the community of people who give of
themselves to ensure its continuity. In this space in Camp's newly designed
website, a member of the community will be recognized for their contribution to
Camp! To nominate a helper of the Month, click here.
